Answer:the invasion of Normandy

Explanation:Germany was still strong before the invasion of Normandy. But the allies decided to try the last struggle before they lost. they planned the invasion of Normandy to defeat key German defenses along the coast line. The allies fought and fought until they broke through Omaha North of Normandy. This very cool and historical day was called D-day. Also the UK did not want to do this until they lost a battle.
