We know that, Amount in Compound interest is given by :

\bigstar \ \ \boxed{\sf{Amount = Principal\bigg(1 + \dfrac{Rate \ of \ Interest}{100}\bigg)^{Time \ Period}}}

Given : Principal = $2000

Given : Annual yield is 5% and the interest is compounded quarterly

It means : Interest is compounded 4 times in a year

\implies \sf{Rate \ of \ Interest = \dfrac{R}{4} = \dfrac{5}{4}}

\sf{\implies Time \ period = (25 \times 4) = 100}

Substituting all the values in the formula, we get :

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000\bigg(1 + \dfrac{\dfrac{5}{4}}{100}\bigg)^{100}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000\bigg(1 + \dfrac{5}{400}\bigg)^{100}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000\bigg(1 + \dfrac{1}{80}\bigg)^{100}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000\bigg(\dfrac{81}{80}\bigg)^{100}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000 \times (1.0125)^{100}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 2000 \times 3.463}}

\implies \sf{Amount = 6926.8}

What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line whose equation is x-3y= -18 Fully simplify your answer.
qwelly [4]

Answer:

-3

Step-by-step explanation:

Isolate -3y by subtracting x from both sides

-3y = -18 - x

Divide everything by -3

y = 6 + 1/3x

Slope is 1/3, and perpendicular lines have the reverse reciprocal slope, so our slope is -3

.78 cents for one quart <--- Answer

First you need to find how much is it per gallon
$37.20/12= $3.10

Now we need to find out how many quarts are in a gallon. Which is 4 quarts per 1 gallon

Now that we know this you need to divide the chost of one gallon by 4(# of quarts in one gallon)

Answer: The constant proportionality is 5/4

Step-by-step explanation: The constant of proportionality k is given by k=y/x where y and x are two quantities that are directly proportional to each other. Once you know the constant of proportionality you can find an equation representing the directly proportional relationship between x and y, namely y=kx, with your specific k.
