Answer:

In high-profile matters, a change of venue may occur to move a jury trial away from a location where a fair and impartial jury may not be possible due to widespread publicity about a crime and its defendant(s) to another community in order to obtain jurors who can be more objective in their duties.

Answer:

If a crime is well-publicized with extensive news coverage, it may be difficult to find an impartial jury. The people you would be choosing jurors from would have already heard a lot of details on the case, and might have already decided the defendant is guilty without knowing all the facts.

The defendant now refuses to refund the plaintiff’s money for lack of consideration. Did mutual consideration exist between the
Sever21 [200]

Answer:

There was no mutual consideration between the plaintiff and the defendant.

Explanation:

Consideration is a law concept that is used in law when finalizing a simple contract. It can be in any form like is being giving out by the parties involved in the contact as quid pro quo in backing the set agreement.

It must however be stated that in a situation whereby is only one party that offers consideration in a contract, such consideration is simply a form of promise and not back by the law thereby making it unenforceable.

The plaintiff and the defendant only had verbal promise on the refund of the school money without any form of mutual consideration thereby making it unenforceable based on lack of consideration.
