Transitive sentences are those in which the subject performs the action described by the verb on or with respect to something different from itself, for example: "I'm going to drive my car", where the direct object of it is the car, that is, the thing on which the action is exerted.
On the other hand, the intransitive ones do not have this direct object, but always refer to the subject of the same, as in the example of the question.
