So I have a music class and I was asked to write by memory, the lyrics of my favorite song, and then do my best to sing, or say them. I wrote down this for my favorite song choice and these are the lyrics. Are they correct or are some of them wrong?

Our heroes are icons that mellow with age
Following rules that they once disobeyed
They're now being lead when they used to lead the way
