Answer:

A cancer cell can develop during any part of interphase. A cancer cell is a cell that goes through the cell cycle continuously, never stopping in G0.

ancer is unchecked cell growth. Mutations in genes can cause cancer by accelerating cell division rates or inhibiting normal controls on the system, such as cell cycle arrest or programmed cell death. As a mass of cancerous cells grows, it can develop into a tumor.

What happens to RNA polymerase II after it has completed transcription of a gene? a. It begins transcribing the next gene on the
Over [174]

The correct answer is: b. It is free to bind to another promoter and begin transcription

Transcription is the first step of gene expression in which DNA molecule is copied (transcribed) into RNA (mRNA) by RNA polymerase. The process of transcription is divided into three phases:

1. Initiation

• RNA polymerase with transcriptional factors bind to gene promoter

• RNA polymerase unwinds DNA double helix (transcription bubble is formed)

2. Elongation

• RNA polymerases adds nucleotides complementary to DNA

3. Termination

• RNA polymerase gets to stop codon (transcribes a sequence of DNA known as a terminator)

• Formed complementary RNA strand is released from DNA-RNA complex.

RNA polymerase is also released and can transcribe some other gene by binding to its promotor. RNA polymerase will transcribe just the genes whose products are needed at a particular moment.

Answer: Light colored peppered moths decreases in number and dark colored peppered moths increases.

Explanation: The population of light colored peppered moths decreases whereas the dark colored peppered moths increases in number because the light colored peppered moths are visible to the predator birds  whereas the dark colored peppered moths are not visible due to dark coating of the trees so they are saved from the birds and therefore, increase in population of dark colored peppered moths occurs and decrease occur in light colored peppered moths population.
