Answer:

Explanation:

The Roosevelt Corollary of December 1904 stated that the United States would intervene as a last resort to ensure that other nations in the Western Hemisphere fulfilled their obligations to international creditors, and did not violate the rights of the United States or invite “foreign aggression to the detriment of the entire body of American nations.” As the corollary worked out in practice, the United States increasingly used military force to restore internal stability to nations in the region. Roosevelt declared that the United States might “exercise international police power in ‘flagrant cases of such wrongdoing or impotence.

8. How did City Life change during the late eighteen hundreds and early nineteen-hundreds?
noname [10]
I think that it's B, because I know in the late 1800s, sanitation in the city was absolutely atrocious, and that many people died from things like rats carrying diseases, or just bad sanitation. I may be wrong, though.

A. 5/7 × 9/10
B. 1 3/5 - 5/6
answer these please! :o I need help
KatRina [158]
A. 45/70

5/7 × 9/10

Multiply the numerator with the other numerator, and denominator with the other denominator.

5 × 9
7 × 10

It becomes 45/70.

B. 23/30

1 3/5 - 5/6

In adding/subtracting fractions, their denominators must be equal. Make them so by finding the LCM of both denominators.

5 and 6 would have an LCM of 30. Make it so the numerator and new denominator still have equal proportion as the first fraction you started with.

1 3/5 becomes 1 3(6) / 5(6), or 1 18/30
5/6 becomes 5(5) / 6(5), or 25/30

You can now subtract both fractions.

1 18/30 - 25/30

The minuend (if the presence of 1 whole is ignored) is smaller than the subtrahend. To fix this, borrow the 1 whole from 1 18/30. 1 in this fraction would be 30, so add 30 to the fraction and remove the 1 in the fraction.

48/30 - 25/30

Subtract.

=23/30.
