Q: what was the purpose of the "black codes"?
Amiraneli [1.4K]
In my opinion the black codes were established to ensure the Northern Union that the Confederates, even after that Civil War, did not believe
abolitionism. so in a way the southerners wanted to let the northerners know they still want to fight but because they do not have the manpower left, they wanna fight politically and that they still didn't believe "all men are equal" this is part of the reason why i think the Reconstruction did not work out and that it eventually led to the civil rights movement in 1950's/1960's which ended the entire dispute

What was the main idea behind the Federalist Papers?
Fed [463]

The U.S. Constitution gives Congress, the President, and the Federal courts, respectively, the authority to carry out the duties of the legislative, executive, and judicial departments of the federal government.

Option C is correct: Support of a strong federal government

What are the powers of the federal government?

In Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, the federal government is clearly granted delegated (also known as enumerated or expressed) powers.

This includes the power to pass legislation regulating business, mint money, declare war, raise and sustain an army, and establish a post office.

The benefits of federalism include its capacity to encourage political participation, give states an incentive to try out novel policies, and take into account different points of view from across the country.
