Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egyptians record their rules, laws and history using Hieroglyphics.  There is limited information about what they recorded because they lived thousands of years ago and over time, information has been lost.  Some Hieroglyphics have been found that have information accounting for how many crops have been harvested that year and previous years.  

Modern Society

Modern society still record everything.  It is so much easier now than Ancient Egyptian times.  Every time someone goes to court and has a trial, there will be a journalist there, recording it for future reference.  This proves that both Ancient Egyptians and modern society use writing to record everything.
