Answer: Cecil Rhodes deserved to have his statue removed.

Explanation:

I'm pretty sure he was an imperialist, which obviously isn't good. I think he also played a big role in colonizing Africa in the late 1800's. Hopefully that helps a little!

He thought that the government can take away rights from individuals and believed that this way it may become like the tyranny the colonies fought so hard against.
