To our surprise, quite a number of students nowadays admire one of the Chinese philosophers and politicians during the Spring and Autumn period whose name is Confucius. There is no doubt that Confucius influences the offsprings on the terms of personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice, kindness as well as sincerity. And it is our pleasure to interview Confucius and learn more about him through this article.
(Why I chose Confucius as the interviewee ?)
Firstly, the aim of writing this magazine article is meaningful. As we known, he always remained us that success doesn’t come without hard work as modern people don’t have enough persistence. He encouraged us that sometimes we may stay in darkness, the mountain is slippery and arduous to walk through it, but always remember that our family and friends will offer us their genuine and staunch support. Hard working is the one solution to help you overcome the knotty questions easily. That’s why I chose Confucius as the interviewee to share this essential truth.
No one denies that Confucius is especially famous that we still pay lots of attention of his work. So what is his attitude towards his fame?
The one thing shocked us is he doesn’t feel as proud as a peacock with his glory. He said that the propose of sharing the wisdom was not building up the smart reputation in front of the public, but to let knew a good person was not just studying hard and contributing to the community, also needed to bear in mind that always behaving in a way that was based on strong principles about what was right and wrong.
All in all, what I know for sure is that this is a good experience to interview Confucius. Try to share your friends about it and have a knowledgeable weekend!
(I have no idea about my writing is good or not, but I hope I can help you:))
Explanation:
<em>1. "stood like a pillar of cloud torn"</em>
Figurative language: <u>a Simile.</u>
Meaning: A Simile is a figurative language that makes a comparison between two things of a different kind to make a vivid description using 'like' or 'as'. In this example, the author is comparing someone who stood to a 'pillar of cloud torn'. This compares how unadmiring a torn pillar of cloud is with the way the person stood.
2.<em> "faded banners of the departed summer ancient blood-stains against the dark-blue sky" </em>
Figurative language: <u>a Metaphor</u>
Meaning: a Metaphor is symbolic (non-literal) comparison of an object or action with another thing, action, or idea in other to explain an idea. Hence, the expression, "<em>summer ancient blood-stains" </em>refers to horrific events in the past that resulted in <em>"dark-blue sky"</em> (or grief).
The fly in this exert would have been in danger if the prayer wasn't going on. in this exert it says promptly "<span> As indeed it was;for as sorely at Tom's hands itched to grab for it they did not dare-he believed his soul would be instantly destroyed if he did such a thing wile prayer was going on." meaning the only thing that saved the fly's life was the prayer that was going on, otherwise the boy would have grabbed it.</span><span />
