Answer:

People had to compose poetry and say it in public, if they didn’t that would be bad. Women and men wrote the poems for eachother since it was charmful. If somebody ever got a poem from somebody else you would be expected to write one back.

He did manage to get Thurgood Marshall to federal court and later during Johnson he became a Supreme Court justice. He supported Meredith's integration which is why he signed in an executive order to forbid segregation in schools. He also signed an executive order that forced government contractors to take affirmative action and help african-americans.
