Which feature can be produced at an ocean-continental convergence?

Geography

During an ocean-continental convergence, features like ocean trench, volcanoea and can be produced.

Ocean-continental convergence occurs at destructive/convergent plate boundary, where the denser oceanic plate subducts under the less dense continential plate under the sinking convection current of magma.

Ocean trench is produced as the oceanic plate is pushed under the continential plate, and the lithosphere/sea floor is bended to form a depression.

Volcanoes on the other hand,is formed as the continential crust bend under the pressure to form cracks, which allows magma to rise and cause fissure eruption. After repeated fissure eruption,the cooled down material will form a cone-shaped volcano with a vent that allowa magma to went through.

Hope it helps!

What happens when a warm front meets a large low-pressure system?
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

Warm fronts normally involve the centers of low pressure, and hence the barometric pressure will start falling. This allows the weather forecasters to detect that a warm front is approaching. The pressure starts stabilizing before rising again

Air is a protective cushion

The air in our atmosphere acts as insulation, keeping the Earth from getting too cold or too hot. Ozone, another type of gas in the air, also protects us from too much sunlight. Air in the atmosphere can also protect us from meteoroids

The direction of wind flow around an atmospheric high-pressure area and a low-pressure area, as seen from above, depends on the hemisphere. High-pressure systems rotate clockwise in the northern Hemisphere; low-pressure systems rotate clockwise in the southern hemisphere

Long Island Sound has an average depth of 19.9 meters and a length of 156 kilometers (that is, 156,000 meters). What is the natu
White raven [17]

Answer:

natural period = 22.341 × 10³ s

not expecting development of tides

Explanation:

given data

average depth = 19.9 meters

length = 156 km = 156000 m

to find out

the natural period of oscillation of Long Island Sound

solution

we know that natural period formula that is

natural period = \frac{2l}{\sqrt{gh}}    ................1

here l is length and h is average depth

put here value in equation 1

natural period = \frac{2l}{\sqrt{gh}}

natural period = \frac{2*156000}{\sqrt{9.8*19.9}}

natural period = 22.341 × 10³ s

here i think of very long dam expected length 30 to 50 km be built from coasts straight out to sea or ocean without enclosing

tidal phase difference are introduce across the dam

that leads to significant water level differential in shallow coastal sea

but here not expecting development of tides
