Answer:

Slavery in the United States of America started in British North

America during the early colonial days of European settlement

on the continent. By 1800, a few northern states had abolished

(gotten rid of) slavery. Abolitionism continued to spread

throughout the North in the decades that followed. At the same

time, southern states saw a rapid expansion of the cotton

industry by using slaves as unpaid labor on cotton plantations.

By 1860, there were 15 slave states in the South. Four hundred

thousand families in these states had slaves in their households.

Southern states were threatening to leave the United States in

order to protect their growing cotton industry and retain the

ability to have slaves.

The Declaration of Independence would be an effective tool since the DOI gives the people the independence of their own voice so therefore an rebellion could be seen as a protest for something they want to change. The Declaration of Independence would allow the people to calmly rebel without breaking any laws since the governor has given them freedom to do as they please.

Answer:

D. Broca's area.

Explanation:

Broca's area is the part of the brain which takes care of the expressive parts of the language, both in spoken and written form. What this means is that it controls your ability to speak and write, rather than understand what's being said to your or written.

When Fernando's grandma had a stroke, her Broca's area was damaged because she could understand everything, but she couldn't produce language herself (can't speak properly).
