Interpreting law and acting as judges:

Interpretation of law is the process or art of determining the intended and exact meaning of a law as per the constitution of the nation. Courts generally interpret the laws by clarifying or explaining the meaning of it.

In ancient Rome, Praetors are appointed to interpret the law and act as court judges. Praetors were the magistrates with imperium within their own sphere, who are subjected only to the veto of the consuls (the member who outranked the praetor).

Imperium was the form of authority that is held by a citizen in order to control governmental entity or a military force.

Please help!!! George Crum: Inventor. You may love crunchy, salty potato chips. But do you know who first made them? A man named
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

The fine details surrounding the invention of one of the United States' favorite snack foods are somewhat hazy. There are several different claims on how the potato chip was invented, but some evidence shows a man named George Crum, a cook and restaurateur was said to have come up with the idea for the tasty crisp.

Born by the name of George Speck in 1824 in Saratoga Lake, New York, Crum was the son of an African American father and Native American mother, a member of the Huron tribe. He professionally adopted the name "Crum," as it was the name his father used in his career as a jockey. As a young man, Crum worked as a guide in the Adirondack Mountains and as an Indian trader. Eventually, he came to realize that he possessed exceptional talent in the culinary arts.

sladkih [1.3K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Casey eats a lot of junk food. She knows the negative consequences of her diet but rationalizes her behavior by saying the junk food helps her deal with her anxiety. Casey is using this explanation because she is uncomfortable with the inconsistency between her actions and her beliefs and wants to reduce cognitive dissonance.

This term refers to a state that involves conflicting attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs. People generate a sense of mental distress leading to a change of attitudes and behaviors in order to reduce the discomfort and recover stability. That is what is happening to Casey and the contradictions in her behavior.
