Answer:

45.4 in is the answer :)

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to split up the shape. I decided to do it into three different parts one long at the bottom with side lengths of 8 and 4. a smaller rectangle at the top left with measurements of 5.3 and 4, (8-4=4) and the triangle which is 4 by 2.7 (8-5.3). You then find the area of each individual shape, for the rectangles you just multiply getting 32 and 21.2 for the smaller one and then find the triangle by using the formula 1/2b*h which gets you 5.4 then you add the three areas together getting 45.4 hope this helps!

Jeremy and Brenda drove their cars in
harkovskaia [24]

Answer: Jeremy drove 84 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of miles that Brenda drove.

If Jeremy drove twice

as far as Brenda, it means that the distance covered by Jeremy would be 2x miles

When they stopped after some time, they were already

126 miles apart. This means that the total distance covered by both of them is 126 miles. Therefore,

x + 2x = 126

3x = 126

x = 126/3

x = 42 miles

The number of miles that Jeremy drove is

42 × 2 = 84 miles
