Answer:

I believe this quote/statement carries an important message, a message that comes to show that people who are unique and rare are much more interesting because they do and partake of things that most common folks that fit into society do not. (Although I would still believe that the common folk and as some call it "an average joe" are important but in a dissimilar way.)
