Answer:

Ethics and the law are not identical. Typically, the law tells us what we are prohibited from doing and what we are required to do. It is said that the law sets minimum standards of behaviour while ethics sets maximum standards.

This seems to be changing as the law tries to impose broader obligations in relation to business and corporate activity, such as with directors’ duties and best interest obligations for financial advice.

Ethics provides us with guides on what is the right thing to do in all aspects of life, while the law generally provides more specific rules so that societies and their institutions can be maintained.

Read the following paragraph:
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

B). The use of figurative language to describe a state of shock.

Explanation:

As per the question, the use of rhetorical language in 'a slight breeze could have blown me over' most adequately substantiates the claim that the point of view adopted in the paragraph is of an individual who was extremely entertained by Mitch's outlook/costume. It displays the immediate reaction of surprise seeing Mitch dressed completely off theme costume. His twisted clothes have completely shocked the speaker and made him think if the message of dress-code being formal even reached him. Thus, option B is the correct answer.

How do you hope to contribute towards global good and the good of the country?
Rudik [331]

Answer:

I would say, start by being a compassionate and considerate human being. Just be humane and nice to every one. A smile, a kind word, a helping hand. It doesn't take more than that to make the world a better place. You don’t have to move mountains . Start small, maybe, with family, then friends, college groups and then figure out which groups of people who you have the most compassion for. Is it grieving widows, uneducated street children, homeless people, kids who are bullied, kids who are invisible in the class room etc. Find out the group of people, who when you help, it makes your soul smile, your heart dance with delight. Spend time with those people, volunteer in those groups and you will figure out for yourself your own unique way to contribute to society.

- Hope this helps :-)
