List 3 types of literary devices and provide an example for each.
Sophie [7]

Answer:

imagery, simile, and metaphor

Explanation:

Imagery is when an author uses very very specific words to create a visual picture in your mind. An example of this is for sight an author could write, The sunset on the beach was so beautiful, the pink, reds, and oranges made the sky light up the sky beautifully as well as the blue waters below.

Simile: A simile is a way to compare two things using like or as. An example of this is, "As cute as a button!"

Metaphor: A metaphor is a figure of speech where a word or phrase is applied to an object or action where it is not literally applicable. An example of this is, "The calm lake was a mirror."

Hope this helps :)

Which line of poetry is written in iambic pentameter?
Phoenix [80]

When you say "Which ... ", are you saying "Here's a list of choices.
Please select your answer from the list." ?

If so, then there's something definitely missing here.

And since my answer is not restricted to the list of choices you provided,
I get to pick any line of poetry I want to.

to BE or NOT to BE that IS the QUES tion.

This is iambic pentameter.

(The "-tion" kind of hangs off at the end, but hey ! It's Shakespeare.
Wotta ya gonna do. You can't tell him anything.)
