What additional powers did the FSMA give to the FDA?
nikdorinn [45]
FSMA or also known as Food Safety Modernization Act which is approved and signed by President Barrack Obama last January 7, 2017 to ensure that the food to be distributed is safe to eat first. This adds to the burden of FDA or Food and Drug Administration since a new enforcement and inspection authorities has to be made but it helps them in reducing the risk of spreading the disease at the prevention stage rather than relying on the problem after they occur. According to the Act, FDA ensures the public health by strengthening the food safety and quality system.

This evolutionary theory suggests that a species slowly and continuously evolved over a long period of time. This selection and variation happens more gradually. It is hard to notice over a short period of time. The change is slow, constant and consistent. In punctuated equilibrium, the changes come in spurts. There are periods wherein a huge change occurs and there are also periods with very little change. The mutation is at random. Genetic drift is the change in the frequency of a gene variant due to a random sampling of organisms. </span>
