Describe a political, social, or cultural movement today that you would define as "progressive."
frutty [35]

A current political, social and cultural movement that can be defined as a "progressive" movement is the "Black Lives Matter" movement that can be understood as progressive because it focuses on the struggle for racial equality in the world.

What is a progressive movement?

It corresponds to a set of doctrines focused on promoting significant changes to society, bringing civil, economic, political and scientific benefits that help in the evolution of society, the rights of individuals and collective well-being.

Therefore, the "Black Lives Matter" movement aims to fight for the end of violence and structural racism against the black population, which is still discriminated against and violated in today's society.

Can someone summarize this please?
Contact [7]
It first talks about how people take for granted their rights. Then it talks about how the jemcrow laws effected the African Americans, by not letting them use the same bathroom as white people, ext. The Jimcrow laws were apposed by a nonviolent protest. Then it moves on about how the civil rights movement as issues such as the ku klux Klan. slowly but surely thanks to people like Martin Luther king and Rosa Parks pushed the issue and helped end racial discrimination. The path to the end of the civil rights movement was hard. But with l patience and action the they were able to overcome the Jim crow laws and win freedom of all United Stated citizens (African American, white, Hispanic, ext) no matter what race.
