Question is below ( explanation)
nalin [4]

To find the rate, you must divide the distance traveled by the time it took.

17.5 m is the distance while time it took was 5 seconds.

So,

17.5 ÷ 5 = 3.5 m/s

The rate of the anchor is 3.5 m/s

Note: I did not ignore the negative sign in the distance but rather acknowledged it as a magnitude. This meant that the anchor was dropping down instead of going up.

What is the equivalent to 3/-5
ivolga24 [154]

Answer: The answer would be 0.6

Step-by-step explanation:

The equivalent form of 3/5 is 0.6, decimal form. The reason for this is because five goes into three only 0.6 times, so you divide the denominator by the numerator to get the equivalent, or decimal, form.

Line segment DM with end points D (−4, 5) and M(6, 0), is reflected about the x-axis to give line
Over [174]

Given:

Line segment DM with end points D(-4,5) and M(6,0) is reflected about the x - axis to give line segment D'M'.

We need to determine the coordinates of the point D'.

Coordinates of the point D':

The general to reflect the coordinates over the x - axis is given by

(x,y) \implies (x,-y)

To determine the coordinates of the point D', let us substitute the coordinates of the point D in the above rule.

Thus, we get;

(-4,5) \implies (-4,-5)

The reflection of the coordinate D(-4,5) about the x - axis to give the point D' is (-4,-5)

Thus, the coordinates of the point D' is (-4,-5)
