King Alfred the great (849 -899 AD) is important because he was a just and fair ruler and because also of his achievements and contribution to the English Kingdom. He was the most famous of the Anglo - Saxon kings.
Despite overwhelming odds, he successfully defended his Kingdom, Wessex, against the Vikings. He also introduced wide ranging reforms including defense measures, reform of law and of currency, namely coinage.
He was also a keen man on education and encouraged his people to learn to read and write.
Trade began when people needed other goods that others didn't have a little while after the trading began people started recording the trades to keep track of what the had and what the needed to trade to get more goods
King Philip ended his war because he won. This meant that Algonquians were kicked out of southern New England and made the English able to expand their territory.
From this point the Puritans in their writings they talk and draw the Native Americans as sinful people. These people believe that they should fight the natives or break a promise to their god.
