HELP!!! Read the excerpt from Barrio Boy by Ernesto Galarza. Hanging from a cord attached to the middle of the ceiling there was

an electric bulb, low enough for an adult to reach and turn the black switch. I realized that this was our own electric light for us to turn on and off as we pleased. I pushed a chair under it and after some instruction from my mother proceeded to create lightning in the room by turning the switch as fast as I could.\

Hi, you've asked an incomplete question. Here is the remaining part of the question;

Which effective technique does the author mainly use to write this excerpt?

a)  clear point of view

b) interesting dialogue

c) detailed action

d) logical sequencing

Answer:

<u>c) detailed action</u>

Explanation:

We can make this assertion because the detailed action writing technique involves<em> telling in writing a series of actions carried out or to be carried out in other to achieve a goal.</em>

We can notice from the excerpt, the author carefully outlined in detail what was done to achieve the desired goal. For example, he said, <em>"I pushed a chair under it and after some instruction from my mother proceeded to create lightning in the room by turning the switch as fast as I could."</em>

Based on the paragraph, the author would most likely agree that
Cerrena [4.2K]

According to the paragraph, the author states that people need to be proactive when they witness an injustice.

<h3>Why does the author think so?</h3>
  • Because he claims that indifference to injustice causes tragedies.
  • Because he claims that indifference to injustices makes people guilty.

The author accuses countries of being indifferent to the suffering of Jews during WWII. This indifference caused the Jews to suffer great injustices that were torturous and abominable.

For this reason, the author emphasizes the importance of people rejecting indifference and being proactive when they learn about cases of injustice.
