PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

An Agreement Or Not being as hard-headed as his father.

Explanation:

In 1660 Parliament offered to restore the monarchy if Charles would agree to concessions for religious toleration and a general amnesty. Charles was not as hard-headed as his father, and he agreed to the proposals. He returned to London on a wave of popular support to be crowned Charles II (1660-85).

Charles' closest five advisors had initials which formed the word "Cabal", which came to mean a secret association because they were suspected to be the real power behind the throne.

The Restoration was notable for a relaxation of the strict Puritan morality of the previous decades. Theatre, sports, and dancing were revived. Charles' court was notable for its revelry and licentiousness.

While Charles was enjoying his new court, he was less than successful internationally.

The English fought a losing naval war with the Dutch, and England's presence on the high seas had never been so low.

"I came, I saw, I conquered" -Julius Caesar. Can you find any other famous quotes of Caesar's? Pick one and give a short summary
GaryK [48]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

I pick the following. "Experience is the teacher of all things."

This quote is so true, that is why I like it.

You can read books and study many courses, but what really teaches you is experience.

Until you directly live a situation and you are forced to make your own decisions and take your own actions, that is when you really learn.

It is true that there is no better teacher than experience. Once you have lived something, you get the lesson. The more you live, the more experiences you have. And I am not talking only about longevity, which is obvious. I am talking about living, making decisions, daring, expressing yourself, making your voice heard, to do things. The result of those things is experience.

Which of the following choices reflects the theories of John Locke? A. People have natural rights and government is based on a c
viktelen [127]

Correct answer: A. People have natural rights and government is based on a contract.

Explanation/details:

English philosopher John Locke believed that all human beings have certain natural rights which are to be protected and preserved. Locke's ideal was one that promoted individual freedom and equal rights and opportunity for all. Each individual's well-being (life, health, liberty, possessions) should be served by the way government and society are arranged.

Thus, In his political theory, Locke argued the idea of a "social contract." According to his view, a government's power to govern comes from the consent of the people themselves -- those who are to be governed. This was a change from the previous ideas of "divine right monarchy" -- that a king ruled because God appointed him to be the ruler. Locke repudiated the views of divine right monarchy in his First Treatise on Civil Government. In his Second Treatise on Civil Government, Locke argued for the rights of the people to create their own governments according to their own desires and for the sake of protecting their own life, liberty, and property. This includes the right to replace an unjust government with one that properly serves the people's rights.
