Answer:

 • x > 14

Step-by-step explanation:

 • Triangle inequality:
 • for any triangle, the sum of the lengths of any two sides must be greater than or equal to the length of the remaining side

Apply to the given triangle:

 • 2x + 1 + x + 16 > 2x+ 31 ⇒ 3x - 2x > 31 - 17 ⇒ x > 14
 • 2x + 1 + 2x + 31 > x + 16 ⇒ 4x - x > 16 - 32 ⇒ 3x > -16 ⇒ x > -16/3
 • 2x + 31 + x + 16 > 2x + 1 ⇒ 3x - 2x > 1 - 47 ⇒ x > - 46

Combination of the three inequalities:

 • x > 14

What is the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the line y = 2x + 4 and passes through the point (–2, 3)?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

3=-1/2(-2)+b

solve

3=1+b

2=b

b=2

now that we have the slope and y intercept of the equation construct your equation:

y=-1/2x+2

Neither of these answers are correct. I graphed them all and not a single one passed through (-2, 3)

Additionally, the slopes of B and D are inncorrect and lines A and C dont pass through the point (-2, 3) the only correct equation is y=-1/2x+2

I graphed it and it was valid

Answer:

1(7/12) cups more of dry ingredients than wet ingredients go into Kayla's banana bread.

Step-by-step explanation:

2(1/3) and 3/4 are dry ingredients

1(1/2) are wet ingredients

2(1/3) into mixed fraction=7/3

(7/3)-(3/4) they need to have the same denominator, so you multiply (7/3)(4) and (3/4)(3)

(28/12) -(9/12)=19/12 = 1(7/12)
