To make sure that a statement is a simile, you must make sure it uses the words "like" or "as".

Examples:

she is like a small bird

he is as creepy as a spider

Similes use like or as in them . So, if u want to check that a statement has a simile look for like or as in the sentence . For example:

"The clouds are blue" is not a simile bc it doesnt have like or as .

"The clouds are as blue as the carribean sea's waters"

is a simile because it contains like or as .

Answer and Explanation:

Hi Alex,

I think cooking is a great idea. Cooking is the kind of hobby that you can do only for yourself, if you'd like, but that you can also do to impress others and socialize. You know, almost every social event revolves around food, especially good food, right? And I know you have great taste for it because of the restaurants you suggested when I went visiting, so I think you would be a great chef! You can also choose to specialize. There are so many types of food you can focus on – desserts, burgers, pasta, etc.

Factors that could hamper (block) effective communication
sveticcg [70]
There are many factors that could hamper an effective communication. Some of those could be: social status (if you are talking to someone who has a more important status than yourself, it may happen that they are not interested in a communication with you), use of language (if you use inappropriate words, the conversation is not going to be successful), knowledge about the subject (if you don't know what you are talking about, the conversation is likely not going to continue), atmosphere/noise, cultural differences, disabilities, etc.

How does Katniss make a unique impression on the Gamemakers?<br> Brainly
nekit [7.7K]
Which book.
First one, she impressed them with her amazing shot by shooting the apple, and it was unique because it was risky. She in a way, called them out for their lack of attention, which is an attitude few tributes have.
Second one wasn’t so unique because it was similar to peetas, but again she called them out for killing (no spoilers).
