Answer:

Why should there be less gun control? Well, statistically speaking, states with less gun control have a lower gun voilence rate. Two of the state with the highest amount of gun voilence are California and New York, which have some of the strictest gun policies in the United States. States like Arizona and Texas however, two of the least strict gun control states have some of the lowest numbers in the US. The reason for this being, making something illegal for citizens to own serves almost no purpose because criminals will end up getting their guns illegally. All it does is take away a citizen's defense against criminals who ignore the gun control laws. Another example of this is Mexico. Mexico is almost tied with New York and California in gun related deaths per 100,000 people and they too, have outlawed guns. This is why we must respect the second amendment and allow citizens the ability to protect themselves against non-law obeying criminals.

What are your decisions on the following character? Is he a strong or weak character? What are his primary characteristics?
nalin [4]

Silas was : A linen-weaver who, as a young man, is falsely accused of theft and thus cast out as a scapegoat from the close-knit church community of Lantern Yard. He settles on the outskirts of the village of Raveloe, his faith in both God and humanity shattered by his experience in Lantern Yard. He quietly plies his trade, an odd and lonely stranger in the eyes of the villagers. Marner is the quintessential miser in English literature, collecting and hoarding the gold he earns at his loom. In the course of the novel his gold is stolen. Some time later, he finds a baby girl, Eppie, asleep at his hearth. His love for this golden-haired foundling child-who, in the novel's most famous symbol, replaces Marner's beloved gold pieces in his affection-facilitates his return to faith and humanity.

horrorfan [7]

Answer:

the use of repetition

Explanation:

According the excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr.’s "The American Dream” speech and Governor George Wallace's inaugural address, Martin Luther King repeats the word "dream" to make his speech more effective while Governor Wallace repeats the word "lives" to connect to the audience better and make his speech more effective.

Therefore, the technique that makes both excerpts effective is the use of repetition
