Hey there!
Let's first find an easier situation.
If we're saying:
How many fives are in ten?
We're doing 10 divided by 5, because we're seeing how many 5's go into 10.
It's no different here.
We will be doing 6 divided by 3/4, just as we did with our simpler situation.
Using our "keep, switch, flip" rule (keep first term, change to multiplication, take reciprocal of second term)
we get:
6 divided by 3/4
=
6 * 4/3
= 24/3
= 8 3/4's in 6.
Hope this helps!
An equation is y = 2x-1
And then draw a line or something to show that the equation is true
If they drove a total of 5,300 miles in 2 days, and on the second day they drove 10 more miles then the 1st day.
5,300 ÷ 2 = 2,650
they drove 10 miles less on the first day
2,650 - 10 = 2,640
They drove 2,640 miles on the first day.
Hope this helps. :)
It might be the first one or the second one. i said MIGHT!!
Any number multiplied by one keeps its identity
