Answer: um Personification is the attribution to human qualities or feelings to things that are not human.

In this excerpt, the personification is present when the author writes: With impatient fingers she began all over again. Fingers can feel impatient because they part of the human body and they do not have emotions of any kind, therefore they can not feel impatient. That is a human condition.
