On December 7th, 1941, the Empire of Japan launched an attack on America's Naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The attack crippled America's naval power in the Pacific and launched the United States into the war.

The next day, Roosevelt described the attack as a day that would live in infamy.
