Answer:

It isn't necessary important to study every religion down to its core but it is importance to have some understanding of the religion's traditions and traits. When you better understand popular religions you are better able to show your respect for the followers of the religion. Some benefits of understanding all religions is that you can interact and understand different peoples lifestyles. When you study lots of different types of religion you gain knowledge of their music, culture, art, etc just by interacting with the religion itself and talking to followers of the religion.
