If you were a parent during the Civil War and your son or daughter wanted to join the Union/Confederate Army, what would be your

I would be quite worried for my child. Some people who go into war don't make it out. Either way, I would support my kid in their desire for joining the military. I'd make sure it is actually something they want to do though. Instead of just going into war without giving it a thought. I as a parent would support my child.

What evidence of the effects of colonization in the Americans can you see today?

Colonization ruptured many ecosystems, bringing in new organisms while eliminating others. The Europeans brought many diseases with them that decimated Native American populations. Colonists and Native Americans alike looked to new plants as possible medicinal resources.

They invaded the land of the native americans, treating them in an unfriendly and violent manner when they arrived. The effects of colonization on the native populations in the New World were mistreatment of the natives, harsh labor for them, and new ideas about religion for the spaniards.
