Answer:

-Clashing ideologies

There were two superpowers after the fall of fascism, the United States which represented Democracy, and the Soviet Union which represented Communism. This had mainly started the Cold War with ideological opposites that threatened the existence of each other. This cause a nuclear arms race with hundreds of nuclear bombs being built for any upcoming war. Eventually, the Soviet Union had collapsed due to economic policies which could not keep up with massive projects to rival the United States.

-Mind Games and Proxy Wars

The Soviets and the United States had influenced each other without direct war but with espionage and spies. A lot of government projects were kept secret from the public to make sure the Soviets or Americans did not find out what each other were doing. Spy networks were created to infiltrate and find out these secrets through any means. As this was going on, so were individual proxy wars in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Proxy wars are two sides of a developing country/ countries go to war with one another to establish the supporters ideology. Examples. Vietnam which the Northern Vietnamese supported Communism and the Southern Vietnamese supported Democracy.

Place the technology advancements in the order in which they emerged. Tiles the first school of oceanic navigation Ptolemy’s map
rjkz [21]

Here's the order:

 1. Ptolemy's map of the world
 2. the first school of oceanic navigation
 3. Portuguese caravels with triangular sails

Details:

Ptolemy (ca. 100-150 AD) was an astronomer, mathematician and geographer in the Roman Empire era. Ptolemy's map of the world was a map based on descriptions in Ptolemy's book, Geography, which dates back to around the year 150 AD.

Prince Henry the Navigator started the first school for oceanic navigation at Sagres, Portugal, for training in navigation, map-making, and science. The date of founding of the school (and even full details about it) are a bit uncertain, but it seems to have been established in about 1418. Prince Henry was called "The Navigator" because of his strong support for sending out ocean exploration voyages.

Caravels were developed by the Portuguese around the middle of the 15th century (around 1450). These more agile ships were better suited to ocean sailing than previous ship models used in the calmer waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

How did Mexico view their army's movement north of the Rio Grande?
inna [77]

Answer:

Explanation:The 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, forced onto the remnant Mexican government, ended the war and enforced the Mexican Cession of the northern territories of Alta California and Santa Fe de Nuevo México to the United States. Mexico ceded to the United States in 1848, minus Texan claims. The Mexican Cession consisted of present-day U.S. states of California, Nevada, Utah, most of Arizona, about half of New Mexico, about a quarter of Colorado, and a small section of Wyoming.
