Answer:

Daughter's age = 6

Father's age = 34

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of daughter be x

Then the age of father will be x + 28

In 6 years time:-

The age of father = x + 28 + 2 = 30 + x

The age of daughter = x + 6

According to the question,

Father will be three times the age of his daughter.

30 + x = 3(x + 6)

30 + x = 3x + 18

x - 3x = 18 - 30

-2x = - 12

x = - 12/-2

x = 6

So therfore,

Daughter's present age = 6 years

Father's present age = 34 years

Hope this helps :)

ser-zykov [4K]

Let h be the numbers of hours, f be the one-time fee and c the cost charged. The equation is

c=15h+f

Since you pay $15 per four, plus the fee. We can solve this equation for the fee:

f=c-15h

If we plug c=195 and h=9, we have

f=195-15\cdot 9=195-135=60
