p out the family resources, he runs the risk of being sent to a reformatory, where contact with vicious boys older than himself soon develop the latent possibilities for evil that lie hidden in him. . . the risk of the reformatory is too great. What is done in the end is to let him take chances— with the chances all against him. The result is the rough savage, familiar from the street.” – Jacob Riis.

According to the analysis, the life of a boy in the New York City Slums is very worrying. Where boys have to work to help their family life. And they also must always be on guard against thugs and officers. Their lives are so hard that they risk becoming criminals too.

The prose is a type of writing that is distinguished from poetry because of the greater variation in rhythm it has, and the language that is more in line with its lexical meaning. This type of prose writing is usually used to describe a fact or idea. Therefore, prose can be used for newspapers, magazines, novels, encyclopedias, letters, and various other types of media. Prosa is also divided into two parts, namely the old prose and the new prose, the old prose is the prose of Indonesian language that has not been influenced by western culture, and new prose is free-written prose without any rules.

New York is a nice place, but for some, more risks are shown to them. Young boys, children, from rough backgrounds, face a danger that others don’t. Boys face the risk of becoming something worse in a place that is supposed to make them better, facing bigger problems in the prejudice world. If these boys are to take a risk, or even a chance, they have all the odds against them. Because of not who they are, but of what they are seen as. Making these young boys, boys that did nothing, are made into what they are seen as. This is what Rios is saying about the lives of young boys in New York.

Nezavi [6.7K]

You would need to check how to write the comnparative analysis. In the "lens" (or "keyhole") comparison, in which you weight A less heavily than B, you use A as a lens through which to view B. Just as looking through a pair of glasses changes the way you see an object, using A as a framework for understanding B changes the way you see B. Lens comparisons are useful for illuminating, critiquing, or challenging the stability of a thing that, before the analysis, seemed perfectly understood. Often, lens comparisons take time into account: earlier texts, events, or historical figures may illuminate later ones, and vice versa.  Faced with a daunting list of seemingly unrelated similarities and differences, you may feel confused about how to construct a paper that isn't just a mechanical exercise in which you first state all the features that A and B have in common, and then state all the ways in which A and B are different. Predictably, the thesis of such a paper is usually an assertion that A and B are very similar yet not so similar after all. To write a good compare-and-contrast paper, you must take your raw data—the similarities and differences you've observed—and make them cohere into a meaningful argument.  You may also contact the professionals from Prime Writings and let them do it for you. I am sure you will like the overall experience.

kow [346]

Answer:

The tall man wore a big yellow hat on his head.

Explanation:

This is the correct answer because the antecedent is the "tall man". This is a singular noun. Man also tells us it will refer to the pronouns denoting a male gender, in this case "his". Therefore, "The tall man wore a big yellow hat on his head." is correct.
