How did the arrival of European settlers change the life of the indigenous peoples east of the Mississippi River?
Leni [432]

Answer:

Although there were some good interactions like trade that happened between the Native Americans and Europeans, the arrival of Europeans still changed the indigenous people's lives due to disease, violence, and treatment.

Explanation:

Some Europeans, like the French and Dutch, traded with the Natives for fur. They developed good relationships. An English colony also celebrated the first ever thanksgiving with a native tribe.

On the other hand, the Spanish massacred and enslaved most of the Natives they came across. The English basically did the same thing for some time. The most destructive effect would be the diseases, brought by the Europeans, that would kill millions of Natives.
