zhannawk [14.2K]
I'm not sure to which story you are referring, but here's what the symbols mean. A pendulum is the part of a clock (i.e. a grandfather clock) that counts the seconds as they pass. They would symbolize the unstoppable nature of time. An old man with a scythe might represent the grim reaper or another figure of death.
Both of these symbols have to do with growing older and moving on (dying).

Hope this helps! :)

3. In which point of view is The Namesake narrated?
Mariana [72]

The answer is:

D) Third-person omniscient

The narrator in third person omniscient knows everything about everyone, it does not have limits whatsoever, in this line <em>"even though she knows perfectly well what it is."</em>

It is omniscient because he knows what she knows, and what she tries to do.

Please help on this i
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

Money.

Explanation:

Reading "The Great Gatsby" we learn that Myrtle values a man who has a lot of money. This is because her story makes it clear that she was in love with her husband at the beginning of the marriage, when he had a lot of money and a high position in society, however, this love was ending along with the financial condition of her husband, which meant that Myrtle lost all admiration for him, since she can no longer remain admired by high society.
