Many people who immigrated to the United States during the Gilded Age moved to...
Urban areas, where they worked in factories.
You see, many businesses opened factories in urban areas, creating jobs, so immigrants moved to these areas in order to work for these new companies.
I am sorry I do not remember what the two churches began as a result of the first Great Awakening all I know is from King Henry the Third
All of the following factors probably helped account for the increase in the European population between 1000 and 1300 except the monopolization of women by the elite. The dramatic increase in European population between 1000 and 1300 was primarily due to an increased birth rate outstripping high medieval mortality rates. Between the years 1000 and 1300 it is estimated that Europe's population doubled. It was a dynamic and remarkable period, Europe experienced one of the longest periods of sustained growth in human history. And this growth was crucial to the political/cultural achievements of this period.
The High Middle Ages (1000-1300) was marked as a period of intellectual flowering.
Answer:he mining industry was one of the industries that had great impact for the westward expansion in northamerica. Many people seeking wealth settled in western territories creating small mining towns. These towns were created when the existence of a gold deposit had already been proven but many times they were created only with the rumor that there could be gold there. They were prosperous towns at an economic level until the ore was depleted. Then they left the town. The timber industry began when settlers cut wood to build their settlements on American land. The westward expansion generated high demand for wood supply, which promoted the timber industry by strengthening the US economy. This industry grew by leaps and bounds and already in 1970, 41% of the timber in the United States came from the Pacific Northwest. During the era of the construction of the transcontinental railroad there was a dramatic expansion in agriculture. The number of farms tripled and the number of people living on farms increased to 31 million in 1905. Industrial agriculture favored the westward expansion since with the introduction of agricultural machinery farmers managed to increase crop yields with less labor. Farmers organized into local and regional cooperatives to promote their interests.
Hope this helps :)
Chamberlain's do nothing policy and make-nice attitude led to the invasion of both Czechoslovakia and also Poland. Hitler was emboldened to invade both countries when Neville Chamberlain came back from a meeting with Hitler and declared there would be 'Peace in our Time". He naively believed Hitler was not interested in conquest in Europe. Following the invasion of Poland, both France and the UK finally saw the truth of Hitler and declared war on Germany.
