Answer: The black death (aka plague) was a Pandemic that rapidly spread and took over Europe from 1347 to 1352 CE. The kill rate was an estimation of 25-30 million people. The disease was caused by a bacteria (bacillus) and was carried by organisms like fleas and rodents. The origin came from Asia, and was later spread by traders and Mongolian warriors. Once spread many died and those who came into contact most likely died. The infection took 3 - 5 days to incubate and another 3-5 days for someone to become ill, 80% of those who contracted it, died. The average wait was 23 days before someone died.
