Through the text, they explain how apparently they did everything wrong in a humorous way: they forgot his books, went to the wrong classes, went to the wrong lunch session and they even ran out a girl from the new Community Service Council by mistake in a funny and embarrassing way, and the girl volunteered to help them. In the end, they do recognize that the Council had a huge effect on their school life, however, the main purpose of the narrative is to entertain with a funny story about that experience because it is what mainly the text is about.
