When something gives you a rush of adrenaline it hypes you up you get super excited, sometimes it triggers your flight or fight instinct if your in a dangerous situation. (Hope this helps)
What she means is that she had made 19 trips to Maryland, helped 300 people to freedom, yet she was never captured and didn’t fail to deliver her "passengers" to safety. As Tubman herself said, "On my Underground Railroad I [never] run my train off [the] track [and] I never [lost] a passenger." During these journeys she helped rescue people that were from her own family and people who weren’t from her own family. You can check her story in the America Library.
The poem has a different understanding once you take into account she committed suicide soon after. In the poem she talk of being dead in the figurative sense and hiding it with smiles of accomplishment and illusions. Instead after you see she meant she was dead inside and when she talked of her feet saying we've gone to far she means she's tired of living. And again she talks of flowe petals closing as she closes in on herself.
