Which conclusion does Brutus' argument best

English

Answer:

I would go with:

Mark Antony’s life will be spared because he will be useless without Caeser.

Explanation:

The reason I‘m going with this one is because mentions that Antony ”is but a limb of Caesar. Let us be sacrificeres, but not butchers”

Therefore he is stating that Antony cannot do anything as he is just a part of Caeser and couldn’t cause problems.

SPOLIER ALERT:

They probably should have killed Antony :/

Answer:

A. Mark Antony’s life will be spared because he will be useless without Caesar.

(Photo for proof at the bottom.)

Explanation:

When Brutus says "For Antony is but a limb of Caesar", he compares Antony to a limb of Caesar. If Caesar is dead, his limbs would be useless, and still. Brutus says something similar in the end of the passage, "And for Mark Antony, think not of him, for he can do no more than Caesar’s arm when Caesar’s head is off." Basically, Brutus says to ignore Antony, because he is not a threat if Caesar is dead. He is like an arm of Caesar, which is useless if Caesar is dead. An arm cannot move without the head.

kenny6666 [7]

Answer: 2- The poet repeats the word “perched” to show that the raven is threatening to the speaker, and this contributes to the mood of powerlessness in the poem.

Explanation: repetition is a literary device that consists in repeating certain words or phrases in a sentence or paragraph, in order to create an impact in the reader. In the given excerpt from "The Raven" we can see an example of the repetition of the word "perched" this shows that the raven is threatening to the speaker (it is always watching the speaker) and this contributes to the mood of powerlessness in the poem (because the speaker doesn't seem to be able to do something to stop the raven from watching him).

Pepsi [2]

Answer:

he was confused

Explanation:

Note, we are told that, "Anthony awoke to laughing and applauding," in other words, he woke up by an unusual action, "laughing and applauding". This causes Anthony to wonder confusingly what had occurred, which fits in with the definition of the word, "quizzical".

The word quizzical is an adjective that is often used to denote the expression of someone who appears to be confused or amused.

Which of the following best explains why the "superior group of students
andrezito [222]

Answer:

B.) The 'superior' group was praised and told they were more gifted, which increased their self-confidence.

The result of the experiment shows that on detecting their individual abilities, race or other factors, students would self segregate themselves into groups.

Explanation:

The blue eyes and brown eyes experiment by Jane Elliot was to prove to her students that individual differences and complexes can cause factions among them which could separate them and cause enmity.

The praise of the superior group of students by Jane Elliot, instill in them the drive and self confidence to achieve more. Thus, the students felt superior to other group because they had the support of their teacher. But the other group members felt inferior and started developing hatred for the superior group members.
