I'm guessing here but, some advantages are, embryonic stem cells are very effective at repairing damaged tissues, but they are difficult to obtain, and either have to be obtained from umbillical chords of babies, or from fertilized embryos from a laboratory. So I am guessing they would be expensive/difficult to source because you would either have to collect umbillical chords from babies, or have to purchase eggs from women, and they are ethically questionable to use because you are essentially making potentially viable embryos and then killing them. Hope this helps.

If an egg cell containing the (n+1) number of chromosomes combines with a sperm cell containing the (n) number of chromosomes, w
Dmitrij [34]
The answer is A) All future somatic cells of the organism will contain the (2n + 1) number of chromosomes.

An egg cell and a sperm cell fuse to develop a new organism in a process called a fertilization. As a result, a zygote is formed. When the egg cell containing the (n+1) number of chromosomes combines with a sperm cell containing the (n) number of chromosomes, the zygote will have (n + n + 1), which is (2n + 1) number of chromosomes. The zygote is the first cell of the new organism. It undergoes mitosis resulting in somatic cells where all of them will contain the same number of chromosomes as the zygote, which is (2n + 1)

Study the characteristics of the channel in this picture. What might the river look like following this type of channel?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

C) a mature river

Explanation:

The channel on the image shows a meandering river. This basically means that the river managed to erode the banks and it has taken a snake-like shape, better known as meander. A river that exhibits such a thing is a mature river. This can be supported by the fact that the river needs long time to be able to erode the surrounding area, especially when it comes to flatter land. A young river will be mostly straight and will have its flow determined by the landscape around it, but a mature river has had the time to make its own path, to erode parts o the landscape, and take a certain shape, in this case a meander.
