Answer: idiom is a an expression that means not deductible from those of the individual words

Explanation: She saved her pennies slowly by arguing about prices with the grocer, the vegetable man and the butcher until she forced them to lower their prices for her. She did this, but whenever they lowered their prices, she blushed and was embarrassed because she thought that they thought she was a woman who just did not like to spend her money.
