Answer:

South Carolina would be the first state to secede from the Union, on December 20, 1860, and would join the newly formed Confederate States

Explanation:

When the ordinance was adopted on December 20, 1860, South Carolina became the first slave state in the south to declare that it had seceded from the United States. The declaration also claims that secession was declared as a result of the refusal of free states to enforce the Fugitive Slave Acts.

Write a paragraph explaining why vernacular literature eventually became the preferred way to produce books
ozzi
The reason why vernacular literature eventually became the preferred way to produce books is because the "vernacular" was something that the majority of people could understand in terms of written language--meaning that a publisher and writer would make much more money printing in this language.

Based on the passage, which is the most likely inference that can be drawn regarding the Soviet government? The Soviet governmen
Setler [38]
It would be good to know the context of your question.  When you say "based on the passage," perhaps you could attach a screen shot of the passage you're looking at.

Nevertheless, even without such context, I would lean toward saying the answer is that "the Soviet government would do whatever it could to stay in power."  I'm guessing you're talking about events as the Soviet Union was nearing its dissolution and Boris Yeltsin was leading Russia in a move to declare its own sovereignty separate from the USSR.  The Soviet leadership did not give in to that movement willingly.
