Answer:

I was absolutely ignorant, but I knew that I possessed no money, no friends, no kind of property. I was, besides, endued with a figure hideously deformed and loathsome; I was not even of the same nature as man. I was more agile than they and could subsist upon coarser diet; I bore the extremes of heat and cold with less injury to my frame; my stature far exceeded theirs. When I looked around I saw and heard of none like me. Was I, then, a monster, a blot upon the earth, from which all men fled and whom all men disowned?

Explanation:

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein revolves around the story of a young scientist desirous of gaining knowledge beyond human ability. And in his zeal to get that knowledge, he created a monster from many dead body parts who would become the source of his downfall.

Lines from chapter 13 of the novel that can support the claim that the creature cannot be a part of normal human society or family is seen in the given passage extracted from the text-

Excerpt from Red Cloud Part B
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

Option B.

Explanation:

In the underlined section marked number (16) in the passage, there is a mistake in the way the sentence has been written. In order to correct the sentence so that it makes sense and correlates to the rest of the passage t should be written as follows: "His subsequent career would indicate that the lesson was well learned." In this corrected version introduces the pronoun his to clarify who the subject of the sentence is, and it also reorganizes the location of the different clauses of the sentence, so that it is cohesive and understandable for the reader.
