Hey there!

Imperialism has existed from the 1500-1916

What is imperialism?

Imperialism, state policy, practice, or advocacy of extending power and dominion, especially by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political and economic control of other areas. Because it always involves the use of power, whether military or economic or some subtler form, imperialism has often been considered morally reprehensible, and the term is frequently employed in international propaganda to denounce and discredit an opponent’s foreign policy.

More about imperialism

Imperialism in ancient times is clear in the history of China and in the history of western Asia and the Mediterranean—an unending succession of empires. The tyrannical empire of the Assyrians was replaced (6th–4th century BCE) by that of the Persians, in strong contrast to the Assyrian in its liberal treatment of subjected peoples, assuring it long duration. It eventually gave way to the imperialism of Greece. When Greek imperialism reached an ape x under Alexander the Great (356–323 BCE), a union of the eastern Mediterranean with western Asia was achieved. But the cosmopolis, in which all citizens of the world would live harmoniously together in equality, remained a dream of Alexander. It was partially realized when the Romans built their empire from Britain to Egypt.

Olegator [25]
Containment is a U.S. policy that tries to stop the spread of Communism by "containing" it to the areas that it has already spread to. This policy was used after WWll and just before Cold War tensions started to heat up between the U.S. and the Soviet Union because America wanted to stop Communist Russia's influence on the rest of Europe.

Are the authors suggesting that Great Britain’s success during the industrial revolution was mainly due to its tariffs and finan
densk [106]

It was also the fact that Britain had a large pool of resources due to imperialism.

Explanation:

Great Britain’s success during the industrial revolution was mainly due to its tariffs and financial policies is one of the few facts that the government of Britain would have historically liked to believe but it does not really hold up any sort of scrutiny in the thought process.

There were other nations in as much of a position as Britain was but the fact of the matter was that British had the most colonies and thus most raw material that was used fully by these conducive laws for the industrial activity.
