the sum of two numbers is 31. twice the smallernumber is 11 more than the larger number.ehat is the value of the large number?
vovangra [49]

Answer:

The large number is 17

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=31⟹x=31−y

2x=y+11⟹x=y+11/2

2(y+11/2)=2(31−y)

y+11=62−2y

3y=51

y=17    x=14

Hope this helps, have a nice day! :)

What is one way you could compare decimal numbers of different lengths?
Ipatiy [6.2K]
What do you mean?.. Do you mean: e.g. How many tens are in 12.476? So you basically have the 70 as ten right? Well you need to count from the first number (12). So the answer to that example would be 1247. Forget about the decimal point.
