Ayer fue un día importante y trascendental para la historia de nuestra Patria, se celebró un año más de aquel renacer de la esperanza y comienzo de una lucha en América por obtener la libertad y romper las cadenas del yugo español que ataba y esclavizaba a diferentes territorios del nobel continente. Existieron un grupo de personas integrantes de la sociedad quiteña quienes estuvieron esgrimiendo desde tiempos atrás estrategias revolucionarias que culminaron con el primer grito de independencia, dado en la hermosa ciudad de Quito, cuna de gestas de emancipación y manifestaciones ciudadanas del ayer y de nuestro presente.
